Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) October 05, 2011
MUSA Technology Partners and Molecular Devices today announced that the two companies have partnered to integrate LabSpeed for Life Sciences [LabSpeed LS] into the suite of analytical instruments and software from Molecular Devices. This partnership will make LabSpeed LS, a modular analytical software package for data management, integration and consolidation of laboratory instrumentation outputs, available to the companies’ mutual clients. MUSA Technology Partners, the exclusive distributor for the Life Sciences edition of LabSpeed and a leading provider of information technology products and consulting services, along with Molecular Devices, a leader in bioanalytical systems for drug discovery, life sciences research and bioassay/test development, are pleased to provide LabSpeed LS – a solution that will complement and enhance the features included in Molecular Devices’ award-winning SoftMax® Pro.
“Multi-assay trending and control charting, along with real-time thresholding with pass/fail criteria, are just two of the many features inherent in LabSpeed LS that our clients will find invaluable and allow them to further enable life sciences discovery,” explained Cathy Maloney, Senior Director of Sales at Molecular Devices. “Factor in the automated data transfer and data management features, which have been professionally engineered and optimized using predefined SoftMax Pro templates, and our solution becomes a value-added option which, by eliminating the need to import data into spreadsheet software, will save our clients valuable time, reduce duplication of effort and decrease errors.”
George Wilgram, LabSpeed LS Product Manager at MUSA Technology Partners, continued, “Throughout our initial conversations with Molecular Devices, it became increasingly apparent that partnering LabSpeed LS and SoftMax Pro would yield the perfect solution for researchers. SoftMax Pro reads the data off of the instrument and provides industry-recognized analytics while LabSpeed LS populates and displays the data in control and trending charts that are simple to interpret and use. More generally, the software has been built with ease of implementation, use and maintenance in mind. For larger deployments, particularly integration with enterprise systems such as LIMS, customers will find value in professional services for implementation and training.”
LabSpeed LS is available to all Molecular Devices customers. Any client who requires assay trending, control charting, real-time thresholding or limit checking with pass/fail functionality can add value to their development process by integrating into the LabSpeed LS model for bioanalytical instrumentation data analysis and management. MUSA Technology Partners and Molecular Devices will work with clients to develop a support plan that meets their response needs. Training, custom implementations and consultation for special features and data handling functionality are available from a MUSA-trained resource upon request.
