PaRaBal Inc, a HUB Zone based cyber security training company located in the UMBC incubator facility, has been selected by DNI and INSA for its iPhone/iPad Security Solution for securing mobile data devices in the field. PaRaBaL has a unique approach to securing the data on the Apple Mobile products in a pre-boot environment.
The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) Innovator’s Showcase is a competitive process for new innovative companies to propose technology solutions to help the US Government with difficult problems not solved by regular off the shelf products.
“iPhone and iPad products are immensely popular. Many Government Agencies are trying to field the units to keep pace with a workforce that is demanding the units for their day-to-day work. PaRaBaL is answering the call to build security modules to add to the Apple Mobile devices to insure the data is kept secure while using it for US Government. About the INSA Innovator Showcase: Dawn Meyerriecks, Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Acquisition, Technology and Facilities and Director of Science and Technology, and Dr. Steven Burmeister, ODNI Assistant Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Science and Technology, invited dozens of expert government scientists and technologists from across the IC for the first Annual INSA Innovators’ Showcase.
This unique daylong event allowed participants from across the intelligence agencies to hear several dozen short, classified level presentations on a variety of ongoing private sector IRAD Projects. These projects are aimed at IC research areas of interest ranging from alternative computer architectures and biometric research to cyber security and information technology.
INSA’s Council on Technology and Innovation, a group of volunteer IC professionals with extensive experience in both the public and private sector, have screened unclassified, non-propriety abstracts to ensure that only the best IRAD projects currently being developed in the private sector are seen.
