Intention Products, distributor of the market-leading BrandU business development training programs, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Stratacution Ventures to provide BrandU members with support in raising start-up capital. Says BrandU co-creator W. Vito Montone, “We are in the business of teaching entrepreneurs and small business owners how to bring an idea to market and grow their business. Fundraising is the final piece required to get a new enterprise off the ground, and we are very excited to have Stratacution Ventures help our members with that.”
Offered to Elite members of BrandU’s Interprise Business Incubator (IBI), Stratucution’s services lay out strategies for bootstrapping, crowdfunding, tapping friends and family sources for investment, and accessing angel and venture capital. Just like BrandU, Stratacution’s experienced team, Kevin and Ryan Kim, serve as coaches and mentors in helping entrepreneurs develop investor presentations, comprehensive business plans, and secure funding through private placement, venture capital, and other means.
Ironically, the two companies came together by means of a strategy they both emphasize—social media. Both had a presence on LinkedIn, a networking site for business professionals. A casual contact led to face-to-face meetings and then to a formal agreement, in much the same progression as both companies teach their clients to seek out opportunity and find resources that will help their company grow.
“This is a fantastic three-way partnership between investors, Intention Products, and Stratacution,” says Montone. “Investors are reassured because BrandU’s programs have given our entrepreneurs such a solid foundation of knowledge about their business, their customers, and their marketing strategies by the time they are asked to become involved. When our Elite members are ready, Stratacution supports them with the knowledge and resources to provide the appropriate capital fuel.”
If funding is the rocket fuel for that successful launch, then Stratacution Ventures is surely the spark, having raised $9.15 million for six companies in the past 18 months, including an $8 million private placement, and is currently finalizing over $12 million more. Already they are working with two BrandU members to secure final funding for product launches in Canada and the U.S.
“We were looking for ways to get our members over that final hump to a solid footing for their new business,” says Montone. “Our expertise is in building business; Stratacution’s is in matching the right entrepreneurs to the right investors. We look forward to watching our members’ businesses take off and soar.”
