CounterBalance Corporation, a manufacturer of modular torsion spring systems, today announced it will exhibit at the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) Annual Conference in efforts to promote several new product lines that provide solutions to old problems typically found on service counters in restaurants and bars.
“We feel the RFMA is a fantastic organization that will provide us the opportunity to develop long-term relationships founded on the basis of trust and hard work,” said Lou Mintzer, VP of Sales and Marketing of Counterbalance Corporation. “Exhibitors and attendees are there because they want to be involved and create positive growth in the restaurant industry. We hope to be able to contribute to that goal.”
CounterBalance’s new Lift-A-SYST and Counter-A-SYST® brands, consists of hardware that attaches to “flip-up” counters providing assisted lifting force and mid-span balancing. As a countertop is moved in an upwards or downwards motion, the energy stored in the device is applied to precisely offset the weight of the counter. The effect is to neutralize the weight of the countertop making it virtually weightless while in motion. This means easy and safe operation for the user.
In addition to the Lift-A-SYST and Counter-A-SYST brands, CounterBalance has also recently introduced the Serv-A-SYST™ counterbalance. The Serv-A-SYST allows a 60 inch wide portion of the counter to effortlessly move between a high-top and low-top position, (in an arc, vertically 9 -1/2 inches and horizontally 11 inches). The range of motion has been specifically designed to provide the proper height and projection needed to accommodate wheel chair access at any high-top service counter, when in its lowered position, and meets the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design.
The RFMA Conference will be held at the Mirage Las Vegas from March 4-6, 2012. Attendees include Starbucks, Darden Restaurants, YUM Brands, Wendy’s, Chipotle, Hooters, Jason’s Deli, P.F. Changs and many others. CounterBalance products will be displayed in booth #1019.
