Komen breast cancer relief fund for every new “Like” that they receive on their Facebook page for the month of October. This is breast cancer awareness month and the promotion helps in the fight against this often times fatal disease.

Social media is an effective way to build awareness among family and friends about a cancer that impacts millions of women each year. This form of cancer claims over 83,000 lives every year while over 230,000 new cases are diagnosed annually according to the American Cancer Society.
