A weekend long celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Washington, D.C.

The milestone will be celebrated on the Parish Campus under a big top tent with a birthday dinner and dancing on Friday evening, October 7th and a class reunion of many decades of former students on Saturday evening, October 8th.

The Blessed Sacrament planning committee has a few surprises in store throughout the celebration including a visit from former Blessed Sacrament clergy, Father Thomas Duffy, and most recently Monsignor John Enzler, as well as other clergy and nuns who have served the parish and school over the past several decades. There will be music and entertainment throughout the evening.

The dinner tickets sold out quickly and the response to the Class Reunion was strong as well. Over two thousand parishioners will be attending over the weekend.

The Blessed Sacrament Planning Committee was under the leadership of Father Ron Potts and included Byrne O’Brien, Barbara Grazzini, Pat Ritchitt and Janice Ockershausen. The committee has gathered over the past year and a half to plan the Centennial Weekend and are very confident that it will result in a great success.

Event sponsors include: The Donohoe Companies, The Heffron Company, Perfect Settings, Gilday Construction, Chevy Chase Trust, Entertainment Exchange, Coca Cola and Best Bark Media.
