Gatlinburg Brings Snow to Nashville

The City of Gatlinburg hosts a family friendly event at the Nashville Zoo, presents a trip to a deserving military family.

The City of Gatlinburg will bring snow to the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere on Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15, from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. during the Ghouls at Grassmere zoo benefit. The free event will feature a giant snow slide, information about ski packages at Ober Gatlinburg ski resort, Gatlinburg taffy samples, giveaways and more.

Gatlinburg will also provide one deserving military family from Operation Homefront with a trip to Gatlinburg.

“We’re excited to recreate Gatlinburg snow tubing in Nashville and also help a military family relax with a visit our city,” said David Perella, Executive Director of the Gatlinburg Department of Tourism. “Gatlinburg is the only ski resort in Tennessee and just a short drive from Nashville.”

The event is free to the public and will feature a snow slide allowing actual snow-tubing by attendees. Visitors can also enter to win giveaways from Gatlinburg’s tourism partners, such as a two-night stay and Ripley’s attractions passes or ski packages to Ober Gatlinburg ski resort and amusement park.
