Athletic Performance Leader Launches Facebook Contest to Reward One High School with Uniforms and Apparel

Under Armour (NYSE:UA), the Baltimore, MD-based leader in athletic performance apparel, footwear, and accessories, announced today the start of a nationwide contest to find its next “Undeniable” high school athletic program to outfit. The brand is searching for a high school that has the athletic pride and the determination to join the Under Armour roster of “Undeniable” high schools and win a grand prize featuring custom designed Under Armour® uniforms for their athletic program. Schools can enter by visiting Under Armour’s Facebook page.

In order to win, participating schools will compete to generate the highest number of votes on their school’s individual microsite housed on the Undeniable Tab through the Under Armour Facebook page. Students, teachers and fans can cast a vote for their school by “liking” the Under Armour Facebook Page. Schools will be judged on three types of criteria: number of votes, completion of various pride challenges, and athletic performance.

To generate votes, schools will be tasked with completing specific pride challenges ranging from creating their own Under Armour commercial to encouraging influential alumni to endorse their respective schools. Additionally, schools can also gain points through winning athletic performances. Points will be given for victories across all sports with additional points for conference, regional, sectional, and national championships.

“Under Armour is the brand of the next generation and we strive to invite and engage our audience to participate with the brand in new and meaningful ways,” said Dan Mecchi, Under Armour Director, Digital Media. “The ‘Undeniable’ program appeals to young athletes that are extremely active in the social sphere and provides them with an opportunity to rally behind their school and start a relationship with the Under Armour brand.”

Three high schools will be announced as finalists in the beginning of December and will be asked to submit a short documentary that will live exclusively on Under Armour’s Facebook page. The school whose documentary generates the most votes will be declared the winner and receive head-to-toe Under Armour uniforms for some of the school’s athletic teams as well as Under Armour apparel, footwear and accessories.

Under Armour currently outfits over 55 teams from head-to-toe as part of their “Undeniable” high school program, which was launched in 2006. For more information please visit http://www.facebook.com/underarmour or http://www.findingundeniable.com.
