Not only does this API service solve a long-time challenge of price book management for OEMs, it also provides a proven lead generation service for dealers.

IRON Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of customer and equipment lifecycle management services for the equipment industry, announced today the release of its IRON Builder OPEN Application Programming Interface (API). This is a free service available for equipment manufacturers of any size.

Manufacturers simply provide their price book data to IRON Solutions, and the IRON Builder data team imports directly into the IRON Builder configurator service, which then flows into IRON HQ® and Enterprise xSellerator™, the leading quoting and dealer management services offered by IRON Solutions.

IRON Builder is a flexible configurator service that enables electronic price book distribution, complex configuration capabilities, program management and lead forwarding services for light to heavy duty whole goods machinery OEM’s. Unlike ordinary product configurators, the IRON Builder service also enables timely and accurate distribution of pricing data to 5,000 equipment dealer locations across North America. It’s part of the IRON Solutions’ suite of products that optimize the marketing, configuration, pricing, quoting, sale and remarketing of new and used agricultural, construction and outdoor power equipment.

With the release of this API, equipment manufacturers can distribute their price book data directly to qualified dealers and data is transferred without any manual intervention, reducing the risk of data errors and delayed updates to business critical information. Additionally, manufacturers can make their price book information publically available through the IRON Builder configurator service, creating greater exposure and opportunity for lead generation and forwarding into their qualified dealer network.

“Not only does this API service solve a long-time challenge of price book management for OEMs, it also provides a proven lead generation service for dealers,” states Darwin Melnyk, IRON Solutions’ CEO. He adds, “New technology is providing powerful ways to connect buyers and sellers and increase profitability for dealers and manufacturers. Every OEM should consider this service if they are serious about strengthening their brand, expanding their dealer network and increasing their bottom line.”
