Participating restaurants donating $1 for every gallon of tea sold during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Our customers can now join us in raising awareness of breast cancer and join us as we help Susan G. Komen find a way to end this disease that affects so many of us.

For the entire month of October 2011, participating locations of McAlister’s Deli will be donating one dollar to Susan G. Komen for the Cure ® for every gallon of its signature tea that is purchased. Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness month, the promotion offers customers the opportunity to contribute to the worthy cause, just by grabbing a gallon of tea to go.

“Our Drink for Pink campaign is part of corporate partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the global leader in the breast cancer movement. We are proud to participate in various Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events and want to do even more on a restaurant level. Our customers can now join us in raising awareness of breast cancer and join us as we help Susan G. Komen find a way to end this disease that affects so many of us," said Annica Kreider, Vice President of Marketing at McAlister’s Corporation.

“We are excited to partner with McAlister’s this October. Customers will be able to enjoy McAlister’s beloved iced tea while supporting the fight against breast cancer,” said Margo K. Lucero, vice president of business development and partnerships at Komen. “It is wonderful to know that McAlister’s and the entire Komen family are working hard this month, calling for less talk and more action, urging women to get screened and make their breast health a priority.”
