Vienna, Austria (PRWEB) October 10, 2011
Digital Technology International (DTI™) announced that KM Group will be its first European Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) customer. KM Group is one of the largest independent newspaper publishers in the United Kingdom which has evolved into a multimedia company with more than 25 products across print, radio and online. DTI’s full range of innovative publishing solutions will be accessed by 350 users at the KM Group through DTI Cloud, its high performance cloud publishing platform.
The signing marks DTI’s first full-suite European cloud agreement since the expansion of DTI Cloud to its high-speed data centre in Central Europe.
The KM Group project will begin immediately and involve four phases of implementation that are scheduled into early 2012. DTI solutions that are being deployed include DTI ContentPublisher, DTI Lightning, DTI Circulation, and DTI Advertising.
“Having our DTI solutions in DTI Cloud was a strategically important decision for us. We believe DTI Cloud offers an effective and strong business model,” said Duncan Gray, Operations Director, KM Group. “We wanted a more cost-effective way of doing business that will work for us now and in any future market.”
DTI Cloud fulfilled KM Group’s requirement of superior performance, tier-4 security and guaranteed uptime. The secure and highly redundant data centre has abundant bandwidth and the highest level of network availability in the industry.
"KM Group’s decision to go to DTI Cloud with all DTI publishing solutions is exciting and gratifying. To have a long-term UK customer as the first to embrace cloud publishing in Europe is consistent with their strategy of making smart business model changes to increase competitive advantage," said Don Oldham, CEO, DTI. “Our partnership with KM Group is a strong endorsement of our SaaS solution and more evidence that the industry is aggressively adopting innovative new ways to drive results.”
KM Group will be able to drive audience engagement and respond rapidly to the ever-changing demands for digital news and information. With DTI ContentPublisher, KM Group will be able to publish news content to the Web instantaneously. DTI Cloud will enable KM Group to compete more effectively for audience and revenue because they will always have the latest version of DTI software with the newest market-driven features. This eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming upgrades associated with conventional on-premises systems.
The DTI Cloud centre in Europe has the capacity and bandwidth to service a large number of news media companies and thousands of users across Europe, including the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
