ABACE is drawing significant attention from the local aviation community... and interest is at an all-time high within China's corporate aviation community
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) October 09, 2011
Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre officials today announced that the company is in the advanced stages of preparations for the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE), scheduled for March 27th through March 29th 2012.
Representatives from Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre provided this assessment during a press conference to discuss ABACE2012 planning, held during the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) 64th Annual Meeting & Convention.
“With less than six months to go until the ribbon-cutting officially opens ABACE next March, we are very pleased with the progress of our planning, and delighted with the reception the event has received,” reported Carey Matthews, General Manager for the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre. “ABACE is drawing significant attention from the local aviation community, and is being heavily subscribed. And, with a significant increase in business aircraft traffic in the last 12 months, the interest in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is at an all-time high within China’s corporate aviation community.”
Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre (SHPBAS) is a joint venture between the Shanghai Airport Authority and Hawker Pacific. The Shanghai Airport Authority is the owner and operator of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport. Hawker Pacific is one of Asia Pacific's leading aircraft service companies with more than 30-years experience servicing and handling business aircraft.
The inaugural ABACE event will be hosted at the Joint Venture’s Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities on Tuesday March 27th, Wednesday March 28th and Thursday March 29th, 2012.
The facilities are located at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. The 4,000-square-meter (43,000 sq. ft.) hangar facility is ideal for the exhibition, allowing people to have convenient access to both the Static Display of Aircraft and the exhibit stands. The extremely large ramp area is perfect, not only for the aircraft, but for Chalets, where Exhibitors can host customers and prospective customers.
ABACE2012 will serve as both a premier buying and selling venue, and as a world-class meeting forum for the Asian business aviation community. The exhibition is expected to draw between 5,000 and 6,000 attendees and 200 exhibitors, including a special Static Display of about 30 state-of-the-art aircraft. Major global business aircraft manufacturers have already indicated they plan to exhibit at the show. These well-known manufacturers include Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets, Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna Aircraft Company, Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation, Embraer Executive Jets, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, and Hawker Beechcraft Corporation.
Agreements with NBAA that were signed by the Shanghai Airport Authority, the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Center have made the event possible on an annual basis for at least the next five years.
Shanghai Hawker Pacific representatives will be available at NBAA Booth N2501 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 10 to 12, 2011.
