American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group, the nation’s leader in healthcare documentation training and services, is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Karen Mooney to lead our online Medical Billing and Coding Training Program and Ms. Karen Kanan to lead our online Medical Scribe/Clinical Information Manager Training Program.

"We're very excited to have these two industry experts join the AHDPG team," said AHDPG CEO Peter Reilly. "In combination with our partnerships with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and ScribeAmerica the addition of Ms. Mooney and Ms. Kanan further establishes our Medical Billing and Coding and Medical Scribe/Clinical Information Management training programs as the best in the industry.

Ms Mooney has worked in many facets of the medical profession over the years and has a sincere passion for sharing knowledge with those looking to change their career path. She has been teaching in the medical profession for the last nine years and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management. Along with her degree’s Ms. Mooney is a Certified Professional Coder and a Certified Professional Coder - Instructor through the American Academy of Professional Coders, a Certified Multi-Specialty Coding Specialist through the Professional Association for Healthcare Coding Specialists as well as a Certified Healthcare Instructor through the National Healthcare Association.

Ms. Kanan has been a Master Scribe/Clinical Information Manager and West Regional Manager with ScribeAmerica since 2005, and brings her floor skills, knowledge and experience to the AHDPG team. As a West Regional Manager, Karen has trained and implemented new scribe/clinical information management programs and has helped enhance the training program at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, in Newport Beach, California. Ms. Kanan graduated with her degree in biological sciences form the University of California, Irvine, in 2007. After graduating from the Paul Merage School of Business with an MBA at the University of California, Irvine in 2011, she has continued her position with ScribeAmerica as an active Scribe/Clinical Information Manager and West Regional Manager.
