QinetiQ North America today introduced the latest technology in survivability, unmanned systems and power management solutions at the Annual Association of the US Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. New products include the EAGLS emergency egress lighting system for military vehicles, the Raider II autonomous small unit re-supply vehicle and the Q-Gen portable power generator.

The latest QinetiQ North America innovations respond to key challenges facing the US military today, with solutions that increase warfighter survivability, broaden capabilities through unmanned systems and keep mission critical electronics running during sustained missions.

“Today’s military requires solutions that save lives, enhance mission capabilities and increase our ability to sustain operations over long periods of time,” said QinetiQ North America Technology Solutions Group President JD Crouch. “The EAGLS, Raider II and Q-Gen products respond to these requirements with affordable, practical and scalable solutions.”

The Emergency Activated Guidance Lighting System (EAGLS) is an automated vehicle lighting system that safely guides occupants out of the vehicle during emergencies. This technology is critically important in blast or rollover events when occupants may be disoriented or visibility is impaired.

The Raider II diesel mule is a multi-mission, autonomous small unit cargo vehicle that can be used to lighten the warfighter’s load by carrying equipment and supplies, re-supplying small units and supporting medical evacuations. Raider II’s small unit support enhances speed and maneuverability, decreases warfighter fatigue and facilitates the movement of critical supplies and wounded personnel.

The Q-Gen portable generator provides ready access to electrical power for military missions in remote and hostile environments. Q-Gen is a lightweight power solution that can be transported by a single warfighter to generate power for up to eight hours before refueling, using fuel that is readily available on the battlefield.

All three products are on display through October 12, 2011 at QinetiQ North America’s AUSA Booth 8101 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. For product photos and fact sheets, visit our Facebook page (link below).
