Palmyra, Wis. (PRWEB) October 12, 2011
The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has named Charles C. DuBois, president of Standard Process Inc., as its 2011 Humanitarian of the Year. DuBois was presented with the award during ACA’s annual House of Delegates meeting and Primary Care Clinical Symposium held in Portland, Ore., last month.
ACA selected DuBois as the award recipient because of his dedication to furthering the chiropractic profession and to improving his local community for more than a decade. “Aside from lending remarkable support to the chiropractic profession on a national level through various chiropractic organizations and colleges, Mr. DuBois also sits on the boards of several important organizations that advocate for people at home in Wisconsin,” said ACA President Keith Overland, D.C. “He is a true humanitarian in every sense of the word, and ACA is honored to present him with this award."
Humbled to receive such an honor from his peers, DuBois explained why he supports the chiropractic profession, “Every time I hear a patient talk about how much chiropractic and nutritional care together have changed their lives, it strengthens my resolve to support the chiropractic profession. I want patients to have the best care and highest quality supplements available so they can optimize their health.”
DuBois and Standard Process partner with associations and organizations to raise awareness of the benefits that chiropractic care and nutrition can provide. The company is involved in public awareness campaigns, educational events, seminars and workshops. In addition, DuBois serves as a board member on several chiropractic and community organizations.
ACA has presented its Humanitarian of the Year award for the past 21 years. DuBois joins a list of recipients who have been selected for their exceptional work advocating and promoting the chiropractic profession.
