LogicBay’s Performance Center unifies all facets of distribution channel development into a single, easy-to-use portal. The Performance Center’s unified suite of core technologies includes Marketing Communications Management, Learning Management, Performance Management, Content Management and Social Management. The benefits of this powerful partner portal have been widely available on mobile platforms via a web-based interface. The next generation of the Performance Center will feature a hybrid approach, with portions of the interface native to the mobile device and dynamic content available via the web interface. Additionally, the Performance Center will allow corporations to manage all of their content, whether for mobile applications, web applications or other, through a single content strategy and technology.
John Panaccione, LogicBay CEO commented, “More and more of our customers are considering pushing some of their training, product presentations, online libraries and ordering applications to a mobile or tablet environment. We want to ensure we are helping them lead the way. When this project is completed, our customers will be able to take advantage of the benefits of their Performance Center to deliver assets to their own mobile tablet applications quickly and efficiently.”
Content will be offered both from the web and pushed down to the tablet for offline utilization. Through cross-tablet data synchronization, users will customize and tailor the content they want to access offline and which they want web-based. Navigation will be optimized for tablet use, making it quick and easy to find and launch what is needed. It will use familiar tablet touch-screen controls in either portrait or landscape modes.
One of the most important goals of this initiative is to leverage and extend the existing content management capabilities of the Performance Center to mobile applications, rather than creating entirely new content that has to be managed separately. This will allow for a minimal increase in administrative costs since all content can be managed in one area, preserving the power and efficiency of a single CMS.
“We are working with our customers to develop a mobile tablet strategy that offers all of the current benefits of their Performance Centers in a mobile environment, and we will share best practices so each company can benefit,” said Paul Tobin, EVP at LogicBay. “We want to be flexible and responsive to our clients’ mobile needs as they emerge.”
