The producers of the upcoming horror feature film, ‘THE AWAKENED,’ recently announced to the cast and crew that they would begin principal photography during the last two weeks of October, the scariest time of the year.

Juan F. Gonzalez, co-founder and producer with Blue Nile Pictures, announced today that principal photography for the upcoming supernatural thriller, ‘THE AWAKENED,’ has been set to begin on Monday, October 17 in Miami, Florida.

“This year there is something new happening for Halloween in Miami,” says Juan F. Gonzalez, producer with Blue Nile Pictures, “It’s not just another haunted house. We are ready to roll camera on the ‘THE AWAKENED,’ a supernatural thriller about a hurricane party gone wrong.”

“We are very excited to have selected the following actors for ‘THE AWAKENED’; Stephanie Rae Pitts, Nik Holmes, Nancy Sayegh, John Thomassen, Jonathan ‘Legacy’ Perez, Roberto Escobar, Wil Jackson, Julie Kendall, and Saphie Gonzalez,” says writer/producer, Loretta ‘Lou’ Simon, “We are very fortunate to be working with such talented actors.”

About ‘THE AWAKENED’

Five friends decide to have a party to ride out a hurricane in Miami. But as the storm progresses, they decide to play a game -- they will recreate a spiritual healing. Their game opens a portal to the other side which "awakens" an evil spirit. Trapped inside the house until the storm passes, will they make it through the night?
