Abel Solutions, Atlanta’s leading Microsoft SharePoint solution provider, announced today that they will be deploying a project management solution for Delta Community Credit Union based on SharePoint 2010 and EPM Live’s WorkEngine. The solution will be Delta Community CU’s first installation of SharePoint and, along with WorkEngine, will address business requirements for management of projects ranging from regulatory compliance and new product development to IT infrastructure.

“We’re starting our SharePoint launch project as an enterprise project management solution -- using WorkEngine to solve the immediate needs for project management -- but we have a long term vision to use SharePoint across the enterprise,” explains Bill Mesplay, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Delta Community CU.

EPMLive's WorkEngine provides Microsoft SharePoint Project and Work Management solutions for teams, workgroups and organizations that want to utilize enterprise tools.

Delta Community CU’s former document storage system limited user’s ability to share documents – except via email – and provided no option for dynamically updating team members as project plan were changed. Their new solution will give them increased visibility all the way up to the executive level for the scope and breadth of work being performed.

“We’re looking to Abel Solutions for expertise and best practices to make sure we install SharePoint for today’s needs as well as future enterprise growth,” concludes Mesplay.

“Better upfront planning and education not only ensures proper deployment of SharePoint across the enterprise but greatly increases the adoption rate among users,” explains Kevin Abel, President of Abel Solutions. “With our more practiced delivery method, Abel Solutions will help Delta Community CU recognize more value from their investment platform in the short term and be prepared for incremental business use in the future.”

About Delta Community Credit Union
Delta Community Credit Union is one of the largest financial institutions in Georgia. It was founded in 1940 and today serves the entire metro Atlanta area, including residents of the 11 surrounding counties and employees of top businesses, such as Delta Air Lines, Chick-fil-A, Yamaha Motor Manufacturing and Racetrac. Delta Community is a state-chartered credit union organized under the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, and its deposit accounts are federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. It chooses to operate as a not-for-profit credit union so it can give back earnings to its customers and their local communities.
