We create experiences that our attendees have never had before.
Santa Barbara, California (PRWEB) October 11, 2011
Elite Meetings International today announced the sites of next year’s three Elite Meetings Alliances (EMA). CEO Kelly Foy said, “All three of our 2011 events set new records for attendance and performance because we continue to craft an excellent program. We know our 2012 partners will absolutely help carry that tradition to even higher levels.”
All three hotels were selected from Elite’s certified Platinum Collection with dates chosen for the convenience of decision-maker attendees.
The 2012 Elite Meetings Alliance properties and dates are:
- Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, Rancho Mirage, California, January 29-31, 2012
- Omni Dallas Hotel, Dallas, Texas, April, 2012
- Revel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, August 26-28, 2012
According to Foy and members of the selection team, a hotel’s “wow factor” and commitment to the EMA concept is as important as the objective criteria used in the selection process. Foy describes Rancho Las Palmas as epitomizing the Palm Springs luxury experience and a clear choice for the winter event, while both Omni Dallas and Revel are brand new properties that will be significant players in their markets. Omni Dallas’s grand opening will coincide with the April EMA, and the $2.4 billion Revel, on the Atlantic City boardwalk, aims to completely remake that destination’s landscape, offering the only beachfront meetings experience in the Northeast.
“We want to create an experience that our attendees have never had before, whether it’s a brand new hotel, an incredible group activity, or simply the face-to-face introduction to several new potential business partners,” says Foy. Previous EMAs have included one-of-a-kind team building activities like working with real-life rock stars at Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, creating custom cocktails with celebrity mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, and experiencing trend-setting new properties such as The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
CMP-credited education and networking are always on the agenda at the Elite Meetings Alliance, as is deal making. Buyers at the Summer 2011 EMA at The Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel reported an average of 53 events to source for the next 30 months, with events averaging 143 rooms per night.
