In celebration of the Hard Rock’s 40th Anniversary, Full Sail University was proud to welcome Hard Rock’s 40th Anniversary Memorabilia Tour along with in-house rock historian and resident memorabilia expert Jeff Nolan, to campus on Thursday, September 29. Following Nolan’s guest lecture, nearly 875 students, staff and faculty took part in touring the immersive traveling museum, which included some of the most well-known items from the Hard Rock’s iconic 73,000+ piece memorabilia collection.

“Hard Rock was honored to be able to celebrate Hard Rock’s 40th Anniversary at Full Sail University,” said Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock historian.

In celebration of the Hard Rock’s 40th Anniversary, Full Sail University was proud to welcome Hard Rock’s 40th Anniversary Memorabilia Tour along with in-house rock historian and resident memorabilia expert Jeff Nolan, to campus on Thursday, September 29. Following Nolan’s guest lecture, nearly 875 students, staff and faculty took part in touring the immersive traveling museum, which included some of the most well-known items from the Hard Rock’s iconic 73,000+ piece memorabilia collection.

To kick-off the event, Nolan hosted a one-on-one session on all things rock ‘n’ roll and discussed his role in generating music and memorabilia-related content for the Hard Rock brand’s online programs, while also acting as a consultant for the valuation and preservation of memorabilia. Currently, he travels with Hard Rock’s Memorabilia Tour across the country providing insight and storytelling for the collection.

“Hard Rock was honored to be able to celebrate Hard Rock’s 40th Anniversary at Full Sail University,” said Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock historian. “We were thrilled with the response from Full Sail’s students, faculty and guests to our traveling memorabilia tour.”

Throughout the day, attendees were invited to view the collection housed on the bus which included handwritten John Lennon lyrics, Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” jacket, Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones’ Vox Teardrop guitar, Freddie Mercury’s spandex stage outfit and additional items from artists such as The Beatles, Madonna, U2, Katy Perry, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Peter Frampton and more.

“We are delighted that the campus of Full Sail University was selected to be a host site for Hard Rock’s Memorabilia Tour,” said Garry Jones, president of Full Sail University. “This has been a memorable and inspiring event for our students and we congratulate the Hard Rock on celebrating their 40th anniversary.”
