Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) October 13, 2011
The Subcontractors Association of Alabama, (SAA) and WorkersFirst CompFund would like to announce that David Campbell has been named as COO and General Counsel for the Association.
Mr. Campbell was previously in-house counsel for Morris-Shea Bridge Company Inc., and has served on the Board of Directors and as Legislative Chairman for the Alabama Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association. He presently serves on the Advisory Counsel for the Alabama Construction Recruitment Institute which is responsible for the Go Build Alabama campaign.
David Feemster, CEO of WorkersFirst CompFund and SAA was quoted as saying, “I believe that David’s years of experience in the construction industry and extensive involvement within the industry on behalf of subcontractors makes him the ideal fit for this position.”
The Subcontractors Association of Alabama was created in the early 1950s by Alabama’s subcontractors to support its members and ensure quality service to the construction industry. The association was known for many years as the Alabama Roofing, Sheet Metal, Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (ARSM-HACCA) before changing its name to SAA earlier this year. In 1965 WorkersFirst CompFund was created by the association to provide workers compensation insurance to its members, making it the oldest self-insured fund in the State. Today SAA has approximately 400 members and continues to be an advocate for the rights of Alabama’s subcontractors while ensuring quality service to owners, general contractors, and Alabama’s citizens.
