"My approach to design has always been about finding the balance between where form meets function as that is where true Art lies."

Award-winning jewelry designer Sandy Baker, in business over 30 years, is introducing a new distinctive collection of one-of-a-kind crosses. They will have their debut showing on Saturday and Sunday, November 19th and 20th at the Studio Museum in Harlem along with her newest earring, necklace, bracelet and cuff-link designs. Baker's trademark style brings together an eclectic range of rich organic elements with clean modern lines set in sterling silver.
The bold crosses are on the cutting edge as Sandy Baker uses her flair for marrying artistry and elegance using organic inlay mosaics that she has also designed to create memorable collectible pieces. Sandy Baker's signature appears on the back of each cross.
Baker's love of world cultures inspires her work and the use of non-traditional combinations of materials. The rich variety of natural materials include South Sea abalone, fresh water pearls, non-endangered sponge coral and horn. The crosses hang from sparkling long strands of faceted spinell or sterling chains. Baker says, "My approach to design has always been finding the balance between where form meets function as that is where true Art lies. When a man or woman wears one of these crosses I want them to feel their heart and soul is making a spiritual connection as they wear one of this life's small luxuries." Over the years Baker has carved a distinctive niche in all corners of the globe.
