Workforce-Velocity is pleased to appoint Carie Buchanan as the new Senior Vice President of Development Strategy and Operations and Rick Mitchell as Chief Technology Officer.
Carie Buchanan will assume responsibility for the overall strategy and implementation of new services and releases for Workforce-Velocity on a global basis. Her key focus is to develop, advance, implement and execute successful growth strategies and directions of programs and services to ensure key projects are being completed and met by technology development and project management, sales and marketing, and finance.
Carie brings over 20 years of experience working for Accenture in the global management and IT consulting industry. Her primary focus during this time was implementing and delivering programs that span the entire software development lifecycle from strategic assessments to post production support activities. Additionally, she has held positions with primary responsibility for the direction and management of sales and business development operations and channel management within the hardware and software industry. Her vast experience includes consulting in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Rick Mitchell is responsible for the overall software development vision and process for Workforce-Velocity, including oversight of enterprise architecture, application delivery, network operations, identity and access management, data base administration and information security. Additionally, he is instrumental in identifying and enabling technologies to support the development of the Workforce-Velocity workforce management and labor planning solution.
Rick adds over 18 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-class software providing technology consulting services to numerous Fortune 500 company across a broad range of industries including: telecommunications, hospitality, healthcare, insurance and restaurants. Prior to joining Workforce-Velocity, he served as President of his own consulting firm for 14 years, providing services to architect, engineer, develop and deliver technical solutions to a variety of complex business problems such as B2Bi, enterprise application integration and implementation of business intelligence solutions. Rick began his career with Price Waterhouse providing innovative leadership in all phases of the systems development life cycle after attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
