Seattle is home to the vibrant culture of hundreds of thousands of Asian Americans that have permanently etched and diversified its landscape of arts, cuisine, music and community. Now, it makes its mark on television and entertainment as MYX TV, the country’s only Asian American music entertainment and lifestyle network, is launched by Comcast this month on the XFINITY® Digital Preferred tier. Get the network on channel 244 in Western Washington and channel 820 in Spokane.

“We are proud to offer the premier Asian American lifestyle and music entertainment channel to our XFINITY® Digital Preferred subscribers in Western Washington and Spokane without an additional monthly subscription fee,” said Sean Brushett, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Comcast Washington State. “We are excited to bring Asian American entertainment to mainstream audiences and look forward to offering even more diverse programming choices to customers in the near future.”

MYX TV continues to blaze trails in its unique programming, offering original and syndicated shows, including magazine talk shows, interactive music video countdowns, independent film and Asian cinema, and animation. This year, it launched a number of shows including MYX TV Top 10, a weekly music countdown show featuring top videos voted in by viewers and hosted by YouTube celebrities and Asian American artists. MYX-Rated, coming back for its second season in the fall, covers all things pop culture from up-and-coming artists to fashion and technology. The network’s promise to bring more Asian Americans to television came to life with Press Play, the debuting platform for videos by artists who have built their subscriber bases online. Movie So Good, a throw back Asian movie showcase featuring martial arts and action, dubbed in English, also premiered this year.

"MYX TV has been dedicated to providing a voice and platform to the millions of Asian Americans around the country, so we are excited to finally be able to provide this entertainment to Seattle," says Miguel Santos, Associate General Manager for MYX TV.
