Broomfield, Colo. (PRWEB) October 13, 2011
Health Inventures, a surgical services and physician practice management company, is proud to announce the one-year anniversary of its successful partner, Nebraska Spine Hospital, a surgical hospital providing specialty spinal care in the Midwest. The Nebraska Spine Hospital, which operates within the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., served 1,230 patients in its first year of operation, 15% more than projected. Nebraska Spine Hospital, a partnership among Nebraska Spine Center, Alegent Health and Health Inventures was licensed, accredited and Medicare certified center prior to the end of 2010.
To meet Nebraska Spine’s needs, Health Inventures developed and executed a plan, maximizing the strengths of the three partners to create a successful, mutually beneficial business. Nebraska Spine Center, a specialty spine physician practice, contributes the clinical and research expertise. Alegent Health supports managed care contracting and ancillary services provision. Health Inventures is responsible for the hospital’s day-to-day operations, development and implementation of strategic plans, human resource management and development and maintenance of accreditation, licensure and certification.
“The hospital was under the gun in 2010 to plan, construct, open and accredit a hospital before year-end. With the help of Health Inventures, we are now hitting the 98th percentile among hospitals nationally for ‘Patient Overall Satisfaction’ and ‘Likely to Recommend’, according to surveys conducted by HealthStream,” said Troy Stockman, Chief Executive Officer of Nebraska Spine. “The all-hands-on-deck approach allowed for Nebraska Spine to exceed expectations in financial performance, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction within months of opening. We are proud to be ranked sixth in the nation for highest Case Mix Index, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which demonstrates a real need for advanced spinal care that we are fulfilling. We have seen patients travel from more than 17 states and Canada in the first year.”
“Health Inventures’ array of support services and expertise across a number of key areas, such as regulatory compliance, facility planning, hospital operations preparation and human resources, yielded a spotless accreditation from the Joint Commission, and our partnership continues to flourish,” added Mr. Stockman.
“It’s rewarding to see how Health Inventures’ leadership and depth and breadth of expert resources drove tangible value to all stakeholders in this partnership,” commented Chuck Peck, M.D., CEO of Health Inventures. “The Nebraska Spine Hospital partnership is very important to us and one we’re proud to be associated with.” The Health Inventures surgical facility network produces clinical outcomes, patient and physician satisfaction and financial performance that consistently exceed industry standards.
