A best-selling single of 1983 that topped both the US and UK charts simultaneously, Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” is a song about a woman who claims that the late singer had fathered one of her twins. Some say that the lyrics of the song was derived from a real-life experience; author Linda Jean Jordan has another point of view. From her beginnings in a rural southern town, Billie Jean shows promise when she sings the gospel in church. She is discovered by the reverend’s son, for whom the young girl harbors an infatuation. But her young ambition is crushed when her parents decide to uproot the family and move to a town closer to the city. Soon Billie Jean finds herself married to a man she hardly knows. It is a marriage that she enters blindly, and it is doomed from the beginning. After having two children, Billie Jean goes to live in the city and follow her dreams.

Constantly inspired by the music of Geo Marcus who spotlights the life of Michael Jackson, her true love, Billie Jean begins writing songs that instantly become award-winning hits. From then on, her life would be about writing. Here, she would find an outlet for her creativity and the world would know and love the songs she and Geo shared between themselves.

About the Author
Linda Jean Jordan is a writer, poet, and publisher. She had just completed her first music project, “BELIEVE.” The owner of Busonic Publisher Marketing, she sells her own CDs and is affiliated with ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) since 1984. She received a full writer publishers and media license to publish recordings, composition, commercially. In 2002, she was nominated for the International Peace Prize for her contributions to the global betterment of societies, based on the international impact of her willingness to share her talents with others. Jordan attended IBM schools and graduated with a certificate for Keypunch Operations and Business Management. She graduated from Georgia Military College in 2001 with an associate degree. She spent fourteen years in the education field and later received a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management at Ashford University and continued education in that department for her master’s degree.
