Include Software announces the launch of iCREWtek. The iPhone-based tool helps landscaping contractors manage their crews at all times by marrying the ever-increasing functionality and power of smart phones with Include’s AssetTM business management software.

The application significantly boosts field crews’ efficiency by 1) reducing prep time and paperwork in the morning, 2) tracking their exact current location and progress on their current job, 3) capturing billable time and materials that often go uncharged when changes occur in the field, and 4) allowing work to be managed “on the fly” in real time.

Features include:

  •     Clock in/out
  •     Signature capture
  •     English-Spanish capability
  •     Time/date stamps on job photos
  •     Materials management
  •     GPS tracking
  •     Weather-tracking and recording in the job file

iCREWtek’s data-recording features are particularly powerful for snow & ice professionals and other contractors who need to prove 1) that they completed the work assigned, and 2) demonstrate the weather conditions, time, and date at the time of the work. Insurance companies increasingly require such documentation to minimize lawsuits over slip/trip/fall claims.

The application also helps contractors get invoices out almost immediately, not 2, 3, or 4 weeks later, which is common in the industry. Because the home office is automatically fed all the information it needs, in real time, there’s no need to wait to talk to the crews, and there’s no longer a risk of not billing additional materials or hours that were added on the fly. iCREWtek works seamlessly with iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches.

“This app is a great example of what happens when you listen to clients. Shortly after the iPhone was introduced, clients started asking for this functionality, and pre-launch sales were stronger than any other product we’ve introduced,” said Bill Seven, founder and lead developer at Include. The product is being unveiled to existing Asset users on October 26 at Include’s Annual Conference. It will be introduced to the industry at the GIE+ EXPO, October 27 to 29 in Louisville, KY. For client convenience, Include’s Annual Conference occurs at the GIE+ Expo hotel, the Marriott Downtown Louisville.
