130 Customers, Manufacturers, and Technology Partners Join Nexus for a Day of Golf, Networking and Fundraising

Nexus announced today that its second annual Northern California Charity Golf Tournament raised $13,000 to benefit the American Heart Association. Held on September 29, 2011, the full-day golf event included a round at the Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon, a technology fair, and a silent auction. One hundred and thirty customers and manufacturer partners joined Nexus for fun, networking and fundraising.

“Nexus has a strong corporate tradition of giving back in each of our local communities and our teams routinely participate in volunteer and fundraising activities,” said Waheed Choudhry, Nexus President and COO. ”The prevention and cure of heart disease is especially dear to Nexus since many of our associates have been affected either personally, or through a close friend or family member, by this terrible disease. We’re honored to do our part to support the American Heart Association with our Charity Golf Tournament and by participating in the Heart Walk, and we’re grateful that so many of our customers and colleagues gave so generously to help us assist the AHA in their lifesaving efforts.

“On behalf of The American Heart Association, we are so grateful for this new partnership,” said Jill DiGiacomo, Executive Director of the American Heart Association’s Greater Bay Area division in San Francisco. “We appreciate the efforts Nexus IS, Inc. has made both with the Charity Golf Tournament and the company’s participation in our annual Heart Walk. The money raised from this tournament -- $13,000 – will go a long way to fighting heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of Americans. We look forward to working together on these events for many years to come. Thank you so much.”
