WordPlay, Inc., a full service communications agency lead by public relations veteran, Tracy Southers, APR, has opened an office in Grapevine, Texas. Serving both business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients, the 11-year old agency is now located at 1400 W. Northwest Highway, suite 100, in Rose Plaza.

According to Southers, Grapevine was chosen because of its central location to both Dallas and Fort Worth.

"We are proud to call Grapevine home and the new office allows us to provide public relations services to more businesses in Grapevine, Southlake, Irving and Fort Worth," she says. "Every business has a story to tell, but the trick is getting people to listen. This is what we do best."

As the name implies, the public relations agency in Grapevine is all about words and employs a variety of communications tools to help clients reach customers, employees and the communities they serve. Services include copywriting, social media, marketing communications, community relations, publicity, and event planning.

With a diverse client base, Wordplay works with many industries including restaurants, hospitality, real estate, technology, healthcare and professional services such as interior designers, lawyers and financial advisors.

Southers is a veteran PR specialist with more than 19 years professional experience. Her career includes corporate positions in telecommunications, real estate, hospitality, and technology; as well as serving as the public information officer for the City of Southlake, Texas. Prior to joining WordPlay in 2006, Southers was a regional public relations director for Luxury Resorts, overseeing PR activities for two resorts and private golf club in Naples, Florida. Southers attended The University of Texas, Austin and received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from The University of Texas, Arlington. She attained the national accreditation in public relations (APR) designation in 2003. Southers is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Southlake Chamber of Commerce, Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, board member for Keep Grapevine Beautiful, contributing writer to N.E.T. Business Resource magazine, and a Gulfshore Business magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 business professional for 2007.
