In-Pipe Technology and PMC BioTec enter a multi-year exclusive marketing agreement to market combined technology solutions to dramatically reduce municipal wastewater sludge.

In-Pipe Technology® Company, Inc. (IPTC) announced today that it has entered into a multi-year marketing agreement with PMC BioTec (PMC) to utilize PMC’s process technology, equipment and engineering services for the US municipal wastewater treatment market.

The marketing collaboration agreement focuses on combining IPTC’s and PMC’s technologies synergistically to dramatically reduce wastewater sludge. Under the terms of the agreement, IPTC will have exclusive rights to distribute and license PMC’s proprietary Molecular Chemical Grinding (MCG℠) equipment and Advanced Fluidized Composting (AFC℠) process technology to municipal wastewater treatment plants in the US with design capacity up to 10 million gallons per day. PMC’s AFC process is well-established in numerous plants worldwide, achieving up to 100% sludge elimination in some facilities. The MCG family of industrial-grade particle size reduction devices are designed to significantly increase the biodegradability of organic solid materials.

“In-Pipe Technology is pleased to enter into this agreement to further develop our offerings,” said John Williams, President & CEO of In-Pipe Technology. “By combining technologies we can further improve efficiencies by offering a broad range of equipment and services. We look forward to working with PMC BioTec and other partners in our network.”

Per Suneby, President & CEO of PMC BioTec, added, “In-Pipe has a strong presence in the municipal wastewater treatment space and are experts in applying biological systems to reduce sludge. We are excited to partner with the In-Pipe team to increase our joint participation in this key market segment.”

In-Pipe’s patented technology includes regularly adding a high concentration formulation of facultative, naturally-occurring, non-pathogenic bacteria to strategic locations throughout the sewer system in accordance with an engineered plan. This entails zero capital cost and no additional energy requirement. Performance in the collection system provides increased capacity within the plant, forestalls costly upgrades, and extends the life of the existing infrastructure.

In-Pipe Technology offers specialized technical expertise, strong customer understanding, and deep resource knowledge. Since In-Pipe uses natural, biological methods that complement a treatment plant’s own processes, In-Pipe is a sustainable solution − environmentally and economically.
