Baltimore Foodie Elizabeth Laseter Expands Area Food Coverage with the D.C. Food Rag Blog; Tells all about Her First Week at Culinary School in the Huffington Post.

Food writer Elizabeth Laseter has begun chronicling Washington, DC's food scene in the DC Food Rag. She gets chronicled herself in the Huffington Post.

Elizabeth Laseter, creator of the popular Baltimore Food Rag blog, has expanded her coverage of the area food scene to include the Washington, D.C. area with the D.C. Food Rag. The new blog can be found at dcfoodrag.wordpress.com. Laseter, a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University and current student at L’Academie de Cuisine, is looking forward to sampling and telling others about the enormous food offerings found in the Washington area. “I am very excited about the restaurants in DC,” said Laseter. “It is definitely a world-class city for food. While I live in the Dupont Circle area, I plan to get to know many restaurants outside of my immediate area.”

The new blog already contains a number of Washington, D.C. restaurant and food reviews, including Bistrot du Coin, Kushi, Medium Rare, Izakaya and the Eastern Market.

The October 13th, 2011 edition of the Huffington Post, the leading on-line newspaper in the United States, chronicled Laseter’s first week at L’Academie de Cuisine. The article can be read at huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/12/culinary-student-week-in-the-life_n_1005465.html.
