New Rover Apps release features access to enterprise web content from mobile devices from a secure container mobile app.

Companies have been looking for ways to easily and securely access intranet applications such as CRM, ERP and line of business solutions without exposing their network or data to the challenges of mobile environments. With the version 2 release of Rover Apps, organizations can securely mobilize access in a day and then evolve the system integration over time using the powerful enterprise application development features of the Rover Apps platform.

Rover Retriever is a secured container app ideal for ISV and enterprise solutions, including those based on rich HTML technologies.
The v2 products enable creating dynamic user workflows in either Rover’s native data types or using rich HTML for completely customized user experiences, all with the security and access provided by the Rover Apps platform.

This release introduces the Secure Intranet Tunnel feature, which provides secure, managed access to web applications behind firewalls. With a simple configuration, mobile users enjoy instant access to intranet web-technology applications. The mobile app, with independent encrypted caches, enables the most secure access of intranet sites and applications for both users with company-owned devices or those who elect the bring-your-own-device option.

Jonathan Foulkes, CEO of Rover Apps indicated: “The Tunnel feature allows our customers to instantly start mobilizing existing intranet web-app systems while they design and build custom interfaces for the high-value mobile workflows in the organization. They can evolve the richness of the mobile solution thanks to Rovers extensible and flexible platform without requiring end users to change anything on their devices.”
