SLCC Community Writing Center Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Salt Lake Community College Community Writing Center celebrates its 10th anniversary. Open to all Salt Lake area residents, the Salt Lake Community College CWC supports, motivates and educates people of all abilities and educational backgrounds who want to use writing for practical needs, civic engagement and personal expression. Over the past 10 years, the CWC has provided an open space available for writing, as well as opportunities to enhance writing abilities through such programs as writing coaching, writing workshops, and the DiverseCity Writing Series.

The Salt Lake Community College Community Writing Center invites the community to participate in its 10th anniversary celebration.

On October 22 at the CWC—located at 210 E 400 S on Library Square Plaza in Salt Lake City—the 10th anniversary celebration will include activities that will engage the community and all those who love to write.

An Interactive Write Fest will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Following the Write Fest, a CWC birthday celebration complete with cake and refreshments will take place.

At 6:00 p.m. the evening’s celebration will conclude with an evening reading by writers from the DiverseCity Writing Series.
