Denver Company joins with Zerbee.com in servicing neglected market.

Today Aloha Forwarding (http://alohaforwarding.com) announced a strategic partnership with the online office supply store, Zerbee.com. Zerbee is one of the first online office supply stores to offer shipping to residents of Hawaii and Alaska. Aloha Forwarding will be the fulfillment partner, processing all packages destined to Hawaii and Alaska. “Hawaii and Alaska residents have been neglected by mainland merchants for far too long, and we are pleased that Zerbee.com has stepped up and addressed the needs of this large customer base,” said Darrell Houghton, President of the Denver based package forwarding company, Aloha Forwarding.

As Zerbee’s fulfillment partner, Aloha Forwarding has committed to same-day turn-around on all Zerbee products that arrive at their Denver location. “We are adding staff to our operations so we can fully support the increased package volume we are expecting from Zerbee,” said Houghton, who launched Aloha Forwarding in 2008.

When asked why he picked Aloha Forwarding to be their fulfillment partner, John Jordan, Director of eCommerce for Zerbee.com, replied, “Aloha Forwarding is an established company with a reputation for fast, dependable service. I know we can rely on Aloha Forwarding to process our packages to our Hawaii and Alaska customers quickly and efficiently. They are the best at what they do.”

Established in 2008, Aloha Forwarding has a simple business model: Whenever a resident of Hawaii or Alaska shops online and the merchant doesn’t ship to their location, or only offers delivery by UPS or FedEx, they can opt to have their package delivered to Aloha Forwarding’s Denver location. Aloha Forwarding then re-labels the package and ships it out via USPS Priority Mail, saving residents of Hawaii and Alaska 40% or more on shipping costs. “Aloha Forwarding has saved me over $300 twice now,” said Steve Marley of Aniak, Alaska. “They have such a friendly and efficient service, I have told my friends and they are signing up.”

Originally targeted as a service for businesses, which typically have a higher shipping volume, consumers have embraced the service. "Right now consumer registrations outnumber business registrations 20 to 1," says Houghton, who hopes the partnership with Zerbee.com opens the eyes of other online merchants who would like to tap into the buying power of Hawaii and Alaska residents.

To help introduce Aloha Forwarding, new members can use coupon code "Zerbee01" to receive $1.00 off the handling fee of their first order. Coupon expires December 31, 2011.
