Titled Mentoring: A Business Strategy That Works, the eBook is available for e-readers, such as Kindle and Nook, and is available for only $2.99. It's geared towards people who are part of organizations that may be considering a formal mentoring program for the first time.
The decision to make content available as an eBook was a simple one, according to Rene Petrin, the president and founder of Management Mentors and the book's author. "Given the recent explosion in digital media, it made sense to release this short primer as an eBook," Petrin said. "This way, people can read it on the go on their phones, their Kindle or Nook, and even their iPad." (Note: The eBook is forthcoming in Apple's iBookstore.)
The eBook covers important mentoring basics, like the difference between mentoring and coaching; identifies the different types of mentoring models to consider; and discusses the many benefits of business mentoring.
