CEO of Global Food Protection Institute to Highlight Importance of Worldwide Food Safety Training in Beijing

Dr. Julia Bradsher, President and CEO of the Global Food Protection Institute (GFPI), will speak to the China International Food Safety and Quality (CIFSQ) Conference in Beijing on November 3rd. Her presentation, “The Training Imperative for an Integrated Food Safety System,” will address the importance of training as a critical component to ensuring the safety of the global food supply. The session will review the key elements of a training program: development and delivery of standards-based and career-spanning training, building a cadre of qualified instructors and an integrated data management system that ensures proper registration and record keeping across all instructional activity. The CIFSQ Conference brings together top-level food safety professionals from around the world for two intensive days of learning and networking.

About Julia Bradsher
Julia E. Bradsher, Ph.D., MBA, is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of GFPI and the GFPI family of global initiatives. Previously, Dr. Bradsher served as CEO of the FAAN™ (the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network), in leadership with the pharmaceutical company, Dey L.P and has held numerous research and faculty appointments in private research institutes and universities. She holds a Ph.D. in medical sociology from the University of Miami, and an MBA from the Sawyer school of management at Suffolk University in Boston. She has authored numerous journal articles, book chapters and other solicited publications.
