Dr. Cohen successfully passed his Initial Certification Examination in Neuromuscular Medicine this summer.
In becoming board certified, Dr. Cohen has completed rigorous training and achieved the gold standard in each of the six core competencies of patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, systems-based practice, and practice-based learning and improvement to practice quality specialized medicine.
In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Eric R. Cohen, DO, is Attending Neurologist at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. He also is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry School of Medicine in Piscataway, New Jersey, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Cohen's professional interests are primarily devoted to neurology, epilepsy, biodynamic osteopathy, and the use of botox in patients with cervical dystonia and chronic migraines. He has extensive postgraduate training in cranial osteopathy. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Osteopathy, and Cranial Academy.
