This week, Cerion Optimization Services Inc., a Texas-based engineering firm released the first ever capacity planning software platform capable of handling the increasingly popular shared radio access network architecture.

The new capability is aimed at operators with existing shared-networks or the ones contemplating such technology.

The software platform works with multiple operator traffic inputs at the sector-carrier level, supports independent market forecasts, provides comprehensive scenario planning functionality, as well as automated rehome sequencing plans generation.

Furthermore, Cerion's enteprise software platform is the only proven solution capable of handling multi-vendor, multi-technology, multi-layer, and multi-configuration planning operations across multiple functional groups.
