Pre-Thanksgiving Harvest Celebration on November 12 Features Four Unique Turkey Cooking Methods for Cooks Who Want to Spice Up This Year’s Family Holiday Dinner

For cooks who are looking for new recipes for Thanksgiving’s most well-known tradition, Dizzy Pig’s own “Mad Max,” Max Rosen and “Nature Boy,” Chris Capell will be spicing things up by demonstrating four unique turkey cooking methods on the Big Green Egg® smoker and grill.

The free demonstration and cookout will be held at Dizzy Pig’s grilling store and corporate headquarters at 8763 Virginia Meadows Drive in Manassas, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Bring your pens and paper because Mad Max and Nature Boy will be sharing tips for how to prepare your turkey and Big Green Egg, from brining techniques to temperature control and monitoring tools.

Mad Max will start off with his traditional “Mad Max” Turkey method, roasting a turkey on the Big Green Egg in gravy. Nature Boy will be showing how to get the most flavor and juice out of your dark and white meats. The Dizzy Pig Cooks will also be preparing and cooking a beer can turkey and spatchcock turkey.

Nature Boy and Mad Max will have a pre-cooked turkey for tasting before the Big Green Egg turkey demonstrations begin. Throughout the day, the cooks will be giving away slices of meat and helpful information. Registration for the event is free, but participants are asked to bring their most delectable side dish and recipe to share. TurkeyFest will be held outside, so dress for the weather and bring along your favorite collapsible chair.
