A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 30 years of senior leadership experience, Siglar will assume his new duties at Southwest Surgical Hospital immediately.

After conducting a nationwide executive search led by healthcare leadership solutions firm B. E. Smith, Southwest Surgical Hospital in Hurst, Texas, has hired Harold Siglar to fill the role of chief executive officer. A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 30 years of senior leadership experience, Siglar will assume his new duties at Southwest Surgical Hospital immediately.

Southwest Surgical Hospital — which recently earned Consumers Reports’ highest rating for hospital patient satisfaction in Texas — offers six operating suites, nine pre-operative rooms, a sleep lab, laboratory and radiology, and 24-hour emergency services. The hospital’s latest inpatient and outpatient patient satisfaction scores were 98 percent (measured by The Surgical Care Improvement Project, a national quality partnership organized by The Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

Prior to joining Southwest Surgical Hospital, Siglar served as the CEO at Truman Medical Centers’ Lakewood facility in Kansas City, Mo. His career has included CEO positions at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly, Mo.; Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene, Texas; and McAllen Medical Center and its affiliated facilities in McAllen, Texas. Siglar completed a master’s degree in marketing at Webster University in Kansas City, Mo., and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
