Local Employee Wins Global Award from Holiday Inn Express

Elaine LaRosa of Synergy Hospitality wins Sales Director of the Year out of 1800 hotels. Family surprises her from out of state.

Holiday Inn Express® the award-winning brand of fresh, comfortable hotels with friendly service, today announced that Elaine LaRosa is the “Best of the Best” Sales Director of the Year. Only one of these awards is given annually for this global brand, the largest in the IHG family, of more than 1800 hotels.

“We couldn’t be possibly be any prouder,” said Synergy’s Stephen Field, President and “Culture Czar.” “We’ve always known that Elaine’s the best of the best, but it’s an honor to have the brand’s acknowledgement as well.”

Michael Egolf, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express - Exton PA and nominator of LaRosa, had this to add, “Even with her diversified activities and commitments, Elaine’s first priority is to her Holiday Inn Express “Family.” To the employees here she is a trusted friend, professional mentor and sage counselor. It is with the utmost affection and sincerity that she is universally known among the entire staff as “mom”, a moniker of which she is justifiably flattered and very proud. In the business community Elaine has trouble developing “clients” instead she cultivates “friends.” From the smallest business to the largest of corporations, Elaine has a “friend” who is having a baby, getting married, is in the hospital or requires a shoulder and a sympathetic ear. And Elaine is always there for them. This attitude is the true personification of “Hospitality.”

Synergy divulged the award at a special evening in her honor on October 13. Elaine’s daughter Tracy and son Vincent, who lives locally, attended the event and, as an added surprise, Synergy flew her other sons Stephen and Peter, in to Philadelphia from Florida, so they could share in the well-deserved award.

“Seeing her stunned by the award and then shocked by the presence of her family to celebrate was one of the most rewarding moments of my career,” said Heike Pinto, who has worked with LaRosa at Holiday Inn Express for eight years.
