The newestt course addition to the University of Toronto’s Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work is the professional specialty course of “Practical Hypnosis for Social Workers”. Noted author, educator and Master Hypnotherapist, Dr. Georgina Cannon will be teaching the new, two day plus course on Thursday, November 3rd from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4th and 5th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
“Over the past 16 years, I have had many social workers at the OHC hypnosis school”, explains Dr. Georgina Cannon, Founder of the Ontario Hypnosis Centre, “and they have found it speeds up change work with the client, either singly or in groups – So I was thrilled when the University asked me to teach a course at their Social Work school.”
This course has been specifically designed for social workers – so that it can be integrated seamlessly into their regular client meetings. For anyone who wants to help their clients effect change faster and easier, these two plus days will teach you how to access the subconscious mind to easily and gently effect change.
Prior to the course, the participant will receive a collection of readings that provide the background history and information about hypnosis: how and why it works, when to use it – and when not to use it. The intensive two plus day course will then consist of discussion, explanations of the techniques, demonstrations and practice. By the end of the third day students will feel comfortable using these techniques appropriately and efficiently. It is also a solid foundation for further study of advanced and regression hypnosis.
Total fee (HST Included) is $361.00. To register, and for further information: http://www.socialwork.utoronto.ca/conted/workshops/hyptechs.htm
