Adversor Limited, a provider of robust services that protect against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, announces the launch of its True Dynamic Mitigation™, cloud-based service. Unlike most DDoS protection services, which are based on simple IP filtering, True Dynamic Mitigation uses continuous monitoring of network traffic, early threat detection and a combination of filtering and mitigation techniques. The service can be implemented within minutes through DNS or Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) re-routing, and is dynamically profiled to the nature and size of the DDoS attack, leaving legitimate traffic unaffected. It blocks DDoS attacks close to source and implements over 30 techniques to protect against the largest and most sophisticated attacks.
Adversor fixed price services are free of ‘overage’ charges, whatever the level of attack. An emergency service deals with attacks in progress. It can be activated within minutes through a DNS change and this aspect of the service is available to any organisation using HTTP or HTTPS protocols, whether or not they are contracted to the company. A comprehensive, multi-protocol, hosted managed proxy service provides pre-emptive, always-on protection for customers that choose to locate their own hardware in the Adversor mitigation Point-of-Presence (PoP) or use a virtualised proxy platform managed by Adversor. Alternatively, customers can opt for a BGP routed solution. Customers have access to detailed traffic and anomaly detection metrics via the Adversor portal.
Adversor’s substantial European based scrubbing centres ensure there are no capacity or latency problems. The company’s fully accredited technical team has over 20 years’ experience in defending against DDoS attacks in major international companies and provides 24/7/365 support.
Adversor’s chief technology officer, Dave Lane, commented: “The exponential growth of DDoS attacks over the last few years has seen a lot of companies coming into the market offering protection services that are just not up to the task. IP filtering, used in isolation, is totally inadequate against the sophistication of today’s attacks and the claimed bandwidth available for mitigation is often greatly exaggerated because it’s shared with other services. Organisations that that believe they are protected are not; there’s a lot of questionable insurance selling going on in this market. Adversor’s service is built upon decades of experience, proven hardware based on Arbor platforms, and our own patent-pending software algorithms. No other European company offers a comparably secure and reliable service to meet the needs of companies whose financial survival may depend upon being able to effectively defend IT assets.”
