Abacus Solutions, an IT infrastructure solutions provider, have recently updated their business continuity services offerings. Abacus works to create solution and service packages that are relevant to customers and IT industry professionals, so they are continuously modifying their packages to best fit customer needs.

Abacus has worked with IT engineers to build a range of packages that best meet the requirements of our customers. These packages meet the basic needs of our customers and then are fully customized to fulfill specific Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO). Packages can also be customized to fit within a specific price point.

A key feature of Abacus’s business continuity services is 100% coverage. This differs from other plans that only offer “best efforts” to get their customers back up and running. This means that in a disaster, if other customers are also down, response times may be delayed as the partner helps the other customer. Abacus offers four basic recovery packages. The first package offers a fully outsourced solution with no downtime. This plan includes all dedicated hardware, as well as Abacus managed services where Abacus houses and manages the hardware in their secure data center.

The second recovery package offers an online Vault system for backing up and storing computer files. Data is stored offsite, eliminating the need for tape. Abacus can then recover data remotely in less than 12 hours. The third package is tape based, where the customer sends Abacus their most recent data and Abacus will load the tape and open up for remote recovery within 24 hours. In the fourth package, Abacus will deliver a like or better hardware system to the customer’s preferred location for them to recover themselves within 48 hours.
