At MILCOM 2011, REDCOM will exhibit its SLICE® 2100™ system and the recently announced SLICE® IP Micro. The SLICE® 2100™ is a converged network solution that also supports AS-SIP signaling requirements for Local Session Controllers (LSC). The SLICE® IP Micro redefines tactical communications by integrating key IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) elements and call management functionality into the size of a hardcover book.

REDCOM Laboratories Inc., a company that designs and manufactures the world’s most reliable fully interoperable telecommunications systems, announced today that it will exhibit its deployable communications solutions at MILCOM 2011, Nov. 7–10 at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD.

The SLICE IP Micro is a complete dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 VoIP solution, including AS-SIP signaling, in a single platform.

REDCOM is an industry leader in true communications interoperability using published telephony standards. The technologies integrated into REDCOM’s converged network will include but not be limited to: IPv6/IPv4 dual stack REDCOM switches, secure and non-secure IP and analog end devices (including wired, wireless, ISDN, and radios), a deployed secure gateway application, AS-SIP trunking, SIP trunking, and IP circuit extension.

“As a company, we are committed to ensuring that our portfolio of switching systems for the DoD market fully support the AS-SIP requirements as defined by the Unified Capabilities Requirements for telecom switching equipment,” said Dinah Gueldenpfennig, Vice President of Planning and Government Program Administration, REDCOM.

In the DoD environment, AS-SIP provides military-unique features such as MLPP for establishing communication with resource priorities, ensuring system and network access and control, and providing precedence and pre-emption policies to assure connectivity. This essential element of command and control ensures that the most important calls get through and are able to “tandem” and deliver priority calls for end-to-end warfighter communications.

Solutions for Defense Communicators

Regardless of the military mission, REDCOM’s portfolio of JITC-certified switching equipment delivers highly secure, interoperable, rugged and reliable VoIP solutions for tactical and strategic applications. Whether warfighters need the transportability and small footprint of REDCOM’s SLICE® IP Micro and the SLICE® 2100™ for tactical communications deployments, or the scalable and stackable HDX “building block” approach for reachback support in the field, REDCOM has the secure, tactical, and strategic solution platforms to meet the DoD’s requirements. REDCOM enables secure and interoperable warfighter communications with TRANSip®, the breakthrough technology that delivers secure tactical and strategic integrated VoIP for Joint, NATO, and Coalition Forces. Warfighters can be confident that REDCOM systems will operate in a joint environment. Whether in a foxhole or at the Pentagon, REDCOM’s TRANSip® technology suite converges tactical and strategic networks built from a broad range of technologies for maximum interoperability.
