“To be able to love, you must first be loved.” This is what author Cathy Ivey reminds her readers in Enjoying Peace And Quiet, a heartwarming story of people touching each other’s lives and graciously coming back to God’s loving arms.

Enjoying Peace And Quiet follows the journey of Faith Elizabeth Bryan, a writer who meets a family that changes her life. She uses her articles in a Christian magazine to tell her readers about the Abbott twin brothers, Peace and Quiet, whose lives are a testament that with unconditional love alone, everything just falls into place. Apart from the twins, the author also introduces equally likable and kindhearted characters to readers that will remind them that God loves everyone. Ivey wants the readers to know that there is not a sin that will keep someone from heaven if they honestly repent, ask for forgiveness, and accept Jesus as their Savior.

In this soul-stirring book of the author, Faith Elizabeth has overcome a troubled childhood and she writes her articles with an insight that reaches all ages. Ivey further describes Bryan’s encounter with the Abbotts, “If this family were a portrait, I would have to describe it as being painted with brushstrokes of God’s love.”

Enjoying Peace And Quiet is a well-timed work of Ivey’s; her rules for loving others come at a time when our world is full of decadent behavior, fear, hate, and stress. She wants to use the brother’s story to change hearts and minds. She knows that with God's help, dangerous activities can be replaced by equally exciting behaviors that won't cause harm. She wants her book to show how faith can replace fear, forgiveness can replace hate, and peace can replace stress.
