The fast-growth SaaS billing company Transverse has created a new position: Chief Revenue Officer – tapping Scott Lumish to fill the role. Transverse will leverage Lumish’s experience with worldwide business development for on-demand ERP giant NetSuite to help grow sales, strategic and channel partnerships, developer relations and corporate development.

“My experience in the SaaS space is a direct fit with Transverse’s unique approach to giving companies a flexible, extensible and risk-free path to creating sustainable business models. Transverse is the only billing company out there that understands how SaaS can be the catalyst to moving companies beyond just recurring revenues and onto true personalization of services that deepen customer loyalty and expand customer lifetime value,” said Lumish, who believes TRACT represents a “disruptive technology,” as its subscription billing is fueled by real-time rating/metering and sophisticated couponing, paywalls and other revenue-generating capabilities – all benefits available without paying tens of millions of dollars into a monolithic enterprise platform thanks to the SaaS approach.

“It may seem like ‘easy pickings’ in a market with so much momentum, but Transverse’s continued growth will depend on its ability to show businesses how billing is the key ‘enabler’ to innovative business models,” said Lumish. “I know this industry very well and have great confidence that TRACT is the only product that empowers companies to monetize on their innovation without the risk of stifling implementation times and integration costs.”

Lumish’s view of the industry is extensive, as Lumish comes to Transverse with more than 25-years experience across the United States, Europe, Australia and the Pacific-Rim with software and hardware companies such as Cobalt Networks, Mainsoft Corporation, Pure Software and Legato Systems.

“He knows from his days with NetSuite and other companies that billing is a mission-critical element in a company’s path to success. The wrong vendor choice means you fail,” said Transverse CEO James Messer, who heads up a leadership team with a tremendous record of success with the world’s leading billing, payment and eCommerce companies, including LHS Group, CSG Systems, BusinessEdge, AT&T and Amazon.com.
