Through the questions that were being asked and the initial feedback we have seen from the webinar, we know that the fog is starting to lift and we anticipate seeing a high level of PSO participation in the coming months.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 24, 2011
On October 6, 2011, Clarity Group, Inc., a leading healthcare resource firm specializing in integrated risk/quality/safety systems and captive insurance company development and management, along with its component Patient Safety Organization, Clarity PSO, hosted a webinar entitled ‘PSOs Made Easy!’ The goal of the webinar was to help healthcare providers clarify their thought process about what a Patient Safety Organization is and what the benefits are of participating in a PSO. The webinar was well attended with more than 80 participants from 23 states joining the call.
Mr. Tom Piotrowski, Executive Director, Clarity PSO and Mr. Michael Callahan, Partner, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP addressed these important questions during the webinar:
1. What is a PSO: myths and realities?
2. Who can work with a PSO?
3. Why should my organization work with a PSO?
4. How can my organization and providers be protected under this legislation?
In November 2008, Clarity PSO, a Division of Clarity Group, Inc., was one of the first Patient Safety Organizations to be federally certified and listed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Clarity PSO members include a wide variety of healthcare providers located in five different states. Clarity Group, Inc. recognized early on that creating a PSO would be a natural and logical extension of Clarity’s commitment to assisting its healthcare providers in executing on their vision for healthcare excellence.
“Seeing the high level of registrants for this webinar proved to us that these PSO services are something that healthcare providers are certainly interested in taking advantage of, but it is apparent that there is still some confusion as to how to begin the process. Through the questions that were being asked and the initial feedback we have seen from the webinar, we know that the fog is starting to lift and we anticipate seeing a high level of PSO participation in the coming months,” stated Tom Piotrowski, Executive Director of Clarity PSO, a Division of Clarity Group, Inc.
We encourage all healthcare providers to visit our website at http://www.claritygrp.com to learn more about participating in a PSO. You can also find a recording of the webinar here as well as a newly updated video explaining the benefits of participating in a PSO.
