At the recent 7th Annual Scientific Session of theNational Lipid Association, held in New York City, Dr. Guy L. Mintz, FACC was selected as one of the national leaders in the specialty of lipidology, to receive the high honor of Fellow of the National Lipid Association.
The title Fellow of the National Lipid Associationis awarded to physicians whose contributions in the area of lipid education and treatment have been recognized by peers. These fellows are consideredleaders and experts in lipidology. This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Mintz’s years of dedication to the prevention of cardiovascular disease, the education of others in the area of lipidology, and research. Consideration for this award required nominations by specialists in the field of lipidology, and a credential review by a national panel of experts.

As a newly appointed Fellow of the National Lipid Association, Dr. Guy Mintz has continued to promote medical education. He has just completed a lecture series for medical studentsat New York School of Osteopathic Medicine on cardiovascular disease and acute coronary syndromes. He has mentored medical students from various universities as well as physician assistant students from St. John's University. He continues to lecture his peers on relevant topics in cardiac prevention,lipidology,anti-platelet therapy,hypertension, and myocardial infarction.

Dr. Guy L. Mintz is an Associate Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine, and the Hofstra-North Shore LIJ Medical School. Castle-Connolly has successively recognized him as one of the top cardiologists in New York. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians. He has received numerous awards in teaching and has lectured throughout the United States in the area of cardiac prevention, lipidology, antiplatelet therapy, treatment of myocardial infarction, and hypertension.
