Velo Club La Grange has entered into an agreement with Castelli US, the athletic apparel company that outfits the Garmin-Cervélo professional cycling team, to be the official team uniform and apparel outfitter for Velo Club La Grange.
La Grange selected Castelli after an exhaustive search for a high quality clothing brand that would best be able to meet the needs of a large cycling club that consists of a wide range of riders, from novice to semi-pro. The top-level quality and reputation of Castelli are a superb reflection of both the membership and racing program of La Grange.
Under the sponsorship agreement with Castelli, La Grange and Castelli will offer these benefits to La Grange club members:
- Participation by Castelli as a sponsor of Velo Club La Grange, by providing premium products for the club, its teams and key events for both on and off the bike.
- Sales of Castelli products direct to club members through a custom website featuring discounted prices for Castelli's custom line as well as select items from the Castelli product lines.
- Incorporation of the Velo Club La Grange logo and imagery where applicable in Castelli marketing materials and industry trade shows where commercially practical.
- La Grange racers and club members will be wearing the same gear, stitch for stitch, as Garmin Cervelo.
- La Grange will have access to the new San Remo Speedsuit.
- Sizing clinics to assure proper ordering and garment fit.
A key factor in the selection was Castelli’s passion for the cycling culture as a whole and its alignment with Velo Club La Grange’s vision for its future. We should expect to see a lot more of the Castelli name partnered with Velo Club La Grange in the future.
About Velo Club La Grange:
Velo Club La Grange is one of California's largest and oldest cycling clubs with over 400 members. Raymond Fouquet founded the club in 1969 and today the club fields one of the top amateur racing teams in the United States. Past members include Tour de France stage winner Max Sciandri, Olympic gold medalist Steve Hegg as well as professionals Tony Cruz and Jonathan Cantwell.
La Grange is the recipient of the USA Cycling 2007 CLUB OF THE YEAR award, underlining the club's dedication to the sport of bicycle racing and community service alike.
The club welcomes new and inexperienced riders with a passion for cycling. La Grange is very active in the cycling and fitness communities. Our continuing public policy work with state and local government has led to major improvements in safety for all users of California roads. La Grange isn't just about racing. As a recognized community leader, we take an active role in many non-racing events, including the California AIDS Ride, the MS ride, Malibu Gran Fondo and the Solvang and Angeles Crest centuries. Our many non-racing members enjoy the camaraderie of weekly group rides geared to the avid cyclist.
Additional Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Castelli is dedicated to making the fastest clothing in the world. We know that race results come through relentless attention to the smallest of details. So we approach every garment questioning: How we can make it faster?
We do the basic research, then we test the concepts internally, then we test them with Team Garmin-Cervélo and in the wind tunnel. Only then are they available in Castelli’s Servizio Corse program.
And you can have the exact same pieces as Team Garmin-Cervélo. Not less expensive replicas, but the exact same pieces made using the same fabrics, components, fit and finish, by the same people who produce the pieces you see on the pros on TV.
If you’re serious about your cycling, and serious enough to want to turn those many thousands of kilometers of training into race results, here’s your clothing.
